all I wanted : Boss 835UI In-Dash CD/MP3 Receiver with Front Panel AUX Input, USB, SD Card (Detachable Face)

Will play 16Gb cards and the audio potential is good. Well designed But with one major flaw(in my opinion)--> Will not remember where you left off in a song. Every time you turn it off and back on it starts playing from start(From that single source though!). Checked my wiring with a multimeter to make sure the problem was not on my end. I requested Amazon for a transfer because I wanted to see this unit work. Same issue with the replacement.

Not wanting to go straight through endless Rmas, I bought a Boss 644Ua(cheaper on looks & price) from Fry's. No memory issues with this economy unit!

So, I would infer that his single model# has a problem.

Boss's tech retain had no knowledge of this problem, when I called to report. Nobody else seems to have a similar issue(from the few reviews that are out there for this product)..makes me wonder if they got a bad batch of stereos.

On a distinct note : Amazon's buyer service on this issue has been top notch.
